Results: 2016 Northern Ireland & Ulster Indoor Championships

Congratulations to all medallists at last weekend’s Northern Ireland & Ulster Indoor Championships:

U19 Women:
1. Lydia Mills (Ballymena & Antrim) 11.08m
2. Zoe Dickson (Lagan Valley) 10.57m
3. Sarah Woods (City of Lisburn) 9.23m (=PB)

Jumping just 13 cm shy of her Triple Jump PB, Lydia completed a hat-trick of victories at the Champonships as she also took gold in the Long Jump (5.33m) and 60m (8.21s). Zoe also took silver in the Long Jump, while Sarah equalled her Triple Jump PB in 3rd to add to a Long Jump bronze and gold in the Shot.

U18 Women:
1. Fodhla Nicphaidin (Rosses) 10.49m
2. Kara McDonald (Lagan Valley) 9.19m

An impressive margin of victory for Fodhla over Kara who was 70 cm down on her PB from last year.

U18 Men:
1. Gareth Crawford (Strabane) 13.19m (PB)
2. Josh Armstrong (City of Lisburn) 12.97m (PB)

In a tighly fought contest, 16 year-old Gareth added an impressive 93 cm to his PB to take gold alongside his victory in the 60m (7.52s). Josh too silver with a new legal PB having jumped a wind-aided 13.02m last summer.
